As the dietary manager, it is my privilege to greet each new patient along with our diet clerk to assure food preferences are met. We try to find comfort food ideas as well as the likes and dislikes the patient may have. I find that if I can please the patient with their meals by letting them have some kind of control in the selection of daily food choices and by treating them as if they were my own family, then every other part of the rehabilitation process will come together to better the patients rehabilitation outcome for a positive experience.
